Answers, without the runaround.
Search the creator, commerce and platform questions that come up most often across OT Diary.
Account + profile
How do I edit my public creator profile?
Open Profile from the floating navigation, then use the profile edit controls to update your public name, bio, location, website, cover and profile image. Some identity fields may be managed only by OT Diary administrators.
How do I connect Instagram?
Open Connected Socials inside your creator workspace and follow the secure connection flow. OT Diary should only request the permissions needed for the connected feature. You can disconnect later from the same area.
Why does my creator URL use /creator/username/?
OT Diary uses creator-specific public routes so profile links stay separate from WordPress author archives and internal account pages.
Dear Diary + Feed
What is Dear Diary?
Dear Diary is the editorial publishing layer of OT Diary. Creators can publish stories and connect entries to products, collections or commerce destinations when relevant.
What belongs in Feed?
Feed is for creator posts and visual updates that do not need the full editorial structure of a Dear Diary story.
Can I publish Stories?
Where Stories are enabled, creators can publish short-lived profile stories using the profile story controls. Availability and limits may change as the feature evolves.
Shop + links
What is My Shop?
My Shop is the creator-facing commerce area for products, collections and editorial recommendations. Product availability, attribution and commissions can depend on the connected retailer or affiliate provider.
Do all outbound links earn commission?
No. Commission eligibility depends on the retailer, affiliate relationship, tracking rules and the specific destination. OT Diary can display commerce links without guaranteeing that every click or order is commissionable.
What are Collections?
Collections let creators group products or recommendations into a focused edit, wishlist, theme or shopping story.
Campaigns + gifting
What is a campaign?
A campaign is an opportunity managed by OT Diary or a participating partner. Requirements, dates, compensation, deliverables and eligibility can vary by campaign.
Does a campaign invite guarantee approval?
No. An invitation, application or visible opportunity does not guarantee selection, payment or a brand relationship unless the campaign terms explicitly confirm it.
What is Gifting?
Gifting is the area for product seeding, gifts or brand-provided items. Creators remain responsible for any disclosure required when they publish content about gifted items.
Earnings + payments
Why can pending earnings change?
Commerce earnings can remain pending until a retailer or affiliate provider confirms the underlying transaction. Returns, cancellations, invalid attribution or partner adjustments can reduce or reverse pending amounts.
Where do I add a payout method?
Payment-method controls live with Earnings so creators can manage available payout information alongside earnings and transaction history.
Who handles taxes?
Creators are responsible for understanding and meeting their own tax obligations. OT Diary may request information required to process payouts or comply with applicable rules.
Verification + creator levels
What does verification mean?
Verification is an OT Diary trust and platform-status signal. It can reflect identity, platform activity, reliability, audience, commerce or other review criteria. It is not a guarantee of earnings, campaign access or endorsement by every brand.
Can verification change?
Yes. OT Diary may review, upgrade, downgrade, pause or remove a verification level when account information, activity, reliability or policy compliance changes.
Messages + brands
Who can message me?
Messaging can include creator-to-platform support, brand relationships, campaign conversations and other OT Diary communication surfaces that are enabled for your account.
Should I move a brand deal off-platform?
Use judgment. Keeping important campaign requirements and deliverables in an OT Diary-supported conversation can make the relationship easier to document. Never share passwords or sensitive payment credentials in messages.
Privacy + safety
What information is public?
Public creator profiles can show the creator name, username, profile image, selected social links, public bio, verification status, published content, shop content and other fields intentionally made public.
How do I request data access or deletion?
Use the Contact page and select Privacy / account data. OT Diary may need to verify your identity before acting on an account-data request.
How do I report a problem?
Use Contact and select Technical issue or General question. Include the page, device, what you expected to happen and what actually happened.
